Yehuda Sichel –
Co-Founder / Chef
Chef Yehuda Sichel brings over 20 years of culinary experience, with roots in fine dining and a deep love for food that feels familiar but is executed with precision. Born in Elkins Park, PA, he got his start making sandwiches at 15, then trained in Israel before working under top chefs in Philly and LA including Michael Solomonov, Georges Perrier, Daniel Stern, and Neal Fraser.
Yehuda made his mark in Philly as Sous Chef at Zahav and Executive Chef/Partner at Abe Fisher (James Beard semifinalist), earning national acclaim for his take on Eastern European Jewish cuisine. He’s a Zagat 30 Under 30 honoree, and has appeared on Bizarre Foods and Beat Bobby Flay (he won).
In 2020, he opened Huda PHL, gourmet sandwich shop in Rittenhouse built around house-made milk buns, which quickly became a Philly favorite. With Huda Burger, Yehuda brings his fine-dining standards to something simple and nostalgic: burgers, fries, and shakes done right.
Dan Berkowitz –
Co-Founder
Dan started in the music world, touring with bands and building fan experiences that went way beyond the show. He co-founded 100x Hospitality, creating VIP programs and large-scale events across the country. At Huda Burger, he brings that same behind-the-scenes magic to the food world creating experiences that feel good and always putting people first. He loves Philly and is proud to build something here that reflects the energy and heart of the city.
